Trunk chest Blanket Box

  
Really well made, handcrafted blanket box in excellent condition. I acquired this box from my mother some 25 years ago. She was a carer for the son of the gentleman who made this blanket box in the first world war from a London Tea Company Tea Crate (sadly painted over on the inside of the box is the original Tea Company makrings which are stamped 1912). I had this blanket box refurbished and reupholsted with a classic material from John Lewis about 20 years ago. As you expect there are some small marks to the exterior, however a lovely piece. Collection from my workshop near Tring, Herts.
