Old ANTIQUE Victorian Carriage TRUNK Dome Top Steamer CHEST Blanket Storage Box

  

An antique Victorian dome top carriage trunk in black waxed canvas on a wicker frame, restored & hand-finished in our Lincolnshire workshop. With lovely chestnut brown leather details including piped edges, reinforced corners, chest handles, straps and buckles and central strap holder with large brass studs. Taylor' signwritten text to 3 sides, white and red striped lid detail and central polished brass lock. Also featuring original wooden base runners with integral steel castors and authentic fabric lined Victorian interior in excellent order with original webbing lid stays, perfect for storing linens and soft furnishings at the foot of the bed.

This old travel trunk bears the marks of age & use, has an attractive patina and English heritage styling. Measurements (cm): W 69 x H 58 (to top of dome) x D 51. Please note this trunk is old so has some minor imperfections.

The brass catch doesn't clip into the lock and has no key but hangs neatly in place. There is standard age-related scuffing to the canvas and leatherwork in places. We sell genuine antiques, not imported reproductions!!
